Eczema-Skin disease in ayurveda according to ayurveda, different types of eczema have different vikalapa samprapti. generally eczema is a kapha dominant condition with srava oozaing as the main feature. it is somewhat similar to vicharchika. the presence of kandu, pitaka, syava varna & lasika are supporting this view. acute eczema is kapha dominant but when it becomes chronic there vata domination. the presence of fissures, cracks in chronic eczema justifies the involvement of vata with rukasha & parushata. The vyadhi avastha of eczema is very crucial in diagnosis and management. In atopic eczema there is impairement of vyadhikshamatwa with special involvement of dhatusara. twaksara is affected as a consequence of alteration in vyadhikshamatwa. agni seated in kostha will lead to diseases in shakha like twak with the involvement of altered vyadhikshamatwa. due to kapha association eczema generally has a chronic course. kapha is manda and chirkari in nature. at akshay arogyam we treat all types of this ezema with ayurvedic herbal slef prepared medicines along with required panchakarma treatments.
